Anurag Kashyap’s Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat released in theatres today. Starring Alaya F and debutant Karan Mehta, the film is an unusual take on love in today’s times as it explores two love stories. Before the film released in theatres, the makers of Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat held a special screening for people from the Bollywood film industry. The film got a good response from the screening.

Some of the prominent names from the industry that liked the film include the legendary screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar, director and producer Karan Johar and actress Radhika Apte. Sharing his reaction, Akhtar said, “When you watch this film you immediately know this is an Anurag Kashyap film.” Johar wrote on his Instagram story, “In theatres now!!! An Anurag Kashyap film that needs to be watched! Make this love story your weekend watch! The two young actors are fantastic, Alaya F and Karan Mehta.” Apte shared a post about the film as her Instagram story and wrote, “Go watch it!!!”

On the other hand, actress Shweta Basu Prasad also reacted on the film in a similar way in her Instagram story and said, “Go WATCH!” Veteran actress Pooja Bedi shared a picture with Anurag Kashyap and wrote, “Love this.” Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma and Alia Bhatt, who are yet to see the film, sent good wishes to Anurag.

Produced by Good Bad Films and presented by Zee Studios, Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat also stars Vicky Kaushal in the role of DJ Mohabbat. Although Alaya F’s first release was Jawaani Jaaneman, she signed this movie much before.
