Janhvi Kapoor is maintaining a stoic stance as she is moving on with her life, making her mommy proud. Janhvi’s pictures from Dhadak sets in Kolkata are out and co-incidentally it is her mother Sridevi’s one month death anniversary. Sri would be proud of her little girl as she is taking her baby steps in the industry and has not let the personal tragedy shift focus from her career. Dressed in an austere cotton salwar suit with her hair tied in a simple pony tail, Janhvi’s sombre expression tells us that she is shooting a serious scene in the film.

It must take a lot of courage and gravitas to tackle this insurmountable pain and move on with one’s life. Slowly and steadily, the sisters are getting on with their life, though their father is a broken man with the death of his ‘Jaan’, he is also finding ways to cope up with the pain. He is set to produce a biography on the lives and times of Sridevi and it would be his most ambitious project.

Janhvi Kapoor also celebrated her birthday earlier in the month and took to Instagram to write, “There’s is a gnawing hollowness in my chest that I know I’ll have to learn how to live with. Even with all this emptiness, I still feel your love. I feel you are protecting me from sadness and pain. Every time I close my eyes, I only have good things to remember.” She further added, “Cherish them and devote yourself to making them feel that love. They have made you. And I ask that you remember my mother fondly, pray for her soul to rest in peace.”

Dhadak will release on June 19 and stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar in lead roles.
