Janhvi Kapoor has a plate full of films with her right now, but The Kargil Girl certainly stands out. In it, Janhvi will be seen playing Gunjan Saxena, the Indian Air Force’s first female pilot to fly an aircraft into a war zone. Depicting a character like that needs not just strength and energy but also a lot of courage.
Janhvi did undergo a lot of preparations, but she was most excited to fly a helicopter. In a recent interview, she revealed how she once flew one, although she didn’t have a regular training. The pilot who owned the helicopter would accompany her while leaving the control to her.
The actor added that she shot for nearly a year before it was finally time to film the aerial shots. Through the year, she had been saying how much she wanted to fly a chopper, and when she finally sat inside the helicopter, it was an emotional moment for everyone.
Directed by Sharan Sharma, The Kargil Girl also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on March 13, 2020.
