Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most popular actresses in the current lot of the stars in the film industry. But even before her debut, she was also aware of the paparazzi culture as she was the star kid of late veteran star Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. She recently said that her pictures were taken often growing up along with her sister Khushi Kapoor. But in her teen years, she was left shocked when her pictures ended up on ‘inappropriate, almost pornographic pages.’

In a chat, Janhvi Kapoor told Newslaundry that there has been an “influx of fake images, more so with today’s advanced AI (artificial intelligence)”. She said, “People see these manipulated images and assume they’re real. That deeply concerns me.”

The actress said the paparazzi culture has always been a part of her life. She said, “I don’t recall any ‘first memory’ of being in public. It has always been a part of my life. The cameras have always been around. In our childhood, it was like we would go out and people, with or without consent, took pictures of me and my sister.”

On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will next star in Mr and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao, Devara with Jr. NTR and Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah.
