Boney Kapoor had earlier revealed in reports that he has ventured into South production with the remake of the Bollywood blockbuster Pink. While we also got a sneak peek into the casting of the film which included Thala Ajith, Vidya Balan, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang, here’s an intense poster of Nerkonda Paarvai that was released recently. Excited about this new zone, Janhvi Kapoor shared a special post sending across her best wishes to her father.
Boney Kapoor had also mentioned earlier that it was Sridevi who came up with the idea of remaking Pink after watching the original. She had even discussed the idea briefly to Ajith with whom she acted in the Tamil version of English Vinglish. Boney Kapoor was keen on taking the production ahead after the sudden demise of Sridevi as a way of fulfilling one of her last wishes. Hence it is quite a special project for the Kapoor family and Janhvi too seems to be quite thrilled for the same. She took to Instagram to share the poster of the film and also expressed her happiness for the same.
Coming to the roles, Thala Ajith plays the role of a lawyer essayed by Amitabh Bachchan in the original. Interestingly Ajith had also played the same cameo of a co-flight passenger in the Tamil version of English Vinglish which was played by Amitabh Bachchan in the Hindi one. On the other hand, the role of Taapsee will be essayed by Shraddha Srinath. While Andrea will stick to her character from the original, Abhirami will be seen essaying the character of Kirti Kulhari.
Directed by H Vinoth, the film will also feature Vidya Balan in a crucial role but there hasn’t been many details on her character. The film is said to go on floors in July and is expected to release by April 2020.
