Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her next release, Mili, in November. Ahead of that, she spoke at length about her career, the ups and downs she has faced and her late mother Sridevi. The actress admits that no one will come close to her mother’s legacy.

The actress has always highly spoken of her mother and always remembers her and her work. Talking about Sridevi’s stardom, Janhvi Kapoor told Good Times, “I don’t think anyone will come close to my mother’s stardom. I wasn’t there when she was shooting and at her peak because I was born after she took a break from the movies. But, of course, I got a sense of it, with people speaking so passionately about her films, performances, the kind of person she was on set, her contribution… I think it’s rare and doesn’t happen twice. It’s just a once-in-a-lifetime.”

Sridevi passed away in Dubai in 2018 due to accidental drowning. Sridevi won millions of hearts with her amazing performances in the ‘70s and ‘80s. She made her debut as a child artist at the age of four years in the 1967 Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. She starred in several iconic films including Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Lamhe, Mr India, Judaai, Laadla to name a few. Her second innings surely got her great accolades as well. She made her comeback with English Vinglish. She was last seen in 2017 film Mom.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in Disney+ Hotstar release Good Luck Jerry. Now, she is gearing up for her theatrical release Mili on November 4. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the film is Hindi remake of Malayalam movie, Helen. The actress also reunites with Roohi co-star Rajkummar Rao in Mr and Mrs Mahi. She will be starring in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal with Varun Dhawan.
