Jaideep Ahlawat reveals how he reacted to Shah Rukh Khan calling him and appreciating him for his performance in Jaane Jaan : Bollywood News

Kareena Kapoor Khan made OTT debut with Jaane Jaan, which released on Netflix last month. The actress and the entire team of the film have been receiving rave reviews for the thriller, which is directed by Sujoy Ghosh. At the recently held India Today’s Conclave Mumbai 2023 event, as the team of the film attended the event to discuss about the making of this movie, actors like Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma recalled the responses and love they received for the film from audiences as well as industry insiders including superstar Shah Rukh Khan after it premiered.

Shah Rukh Khan, who also shares a great bond with Kareena Kapoor Khan with whom he has shared screen space in several films, seems to have loved the film and as per the revelation made by the cast, the superstar called them up to talk about the film. During the same, SRK also called Jaideep Ahlawat and the latter revealed that he refused to believe it was real for a long time. "SRK called me and said, 'agar aap bohot busy nahi ho toh mein aapse baat karna chahta hu (if you are not too busy, I would like to speak to you)'” he explained at the India Today’s Conclave Mumbai 2023. He also went on to respond to SRK’s question as he replied, "Agar mujhe heart attack aata hai toh uske zimmedaar aap honge (If I have a heart attack, you would be responsible)". Apart from Jaideep, Vijay Varma, who too in the past has confessed being a Shah Rukh Khan fan, too couldn’t stop gushing about the superstar.

Coming to Jaane Jaan, the film revolves around a single mother and a depressed mathematician, who get embroiled in a murder case and the entry of a talented cop adds another twist to the mystery. Based on the Japanese novel ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ written by Keigo Higashino and the film premiered on Netflix India on September 21.
