“I’ve donated sperms in real life” – Ayushmann Khurana

You must've seen this once in your lifetime - An actor gets mobbed by women. Let's say John Abraham could be the one. Now try this - Ever seen someone getting mobbed by little school going kids? Why kids? Because Ayushmann Khurana is one of India's most wanted and the most talked about Sperm Donor today. So don't be surprised if you see kids shouting, "Hey Daddy, we want to see Vicky Donor too". Right now, Ayushmann Khurana is in a state of uncontrollable excitement. His debut movie Vicky Donor is the talk of the town, and even though I have given him a free advice that goes - "If you sometimes feel a little depressed or offended, always remember that you were once upon a time the fastest and the most victorious sperm out of millions." For the time being it looks like my advice isn't of much significance importance and according to Khurana, depressed and offended can take a back seat because he is hell bent on winning the race...the sperm race I mean, at the box office. "Vicky Donor is the right choice I've made to kick start my career in films"

I've waited for four years for the right script to come my way and now when I look at it, it's come in the form of a sperm (laughs). I am so happy to be associated with Eros International and John Abraham in my debut movie. I couldn't have asked for more. On the television you can do a lot of stuff your way but films need to be a calculative decision. It's all about the choices you make and I think Vicky Donor is the right choice I've made to kick start my career in films.

It's 2012 and it's high time audience opens up to experimentally commercial cinema. Vicky Donor is a story about a sperm donor. We don't talk about this conservative topic in our country but the fact is that the male sperm counts are on a decline and a lot of stress level amongst couples is seen in today's day and age. Sperm donation is really common today and I think Vicky Donor is releasing at the time when audiences are accepting something new and diverse.

"John Abraham is like an elder brother to me more than my producer"

I met John Abraham when I was in Delhi. More than a producer he is like a buddy, like an elder brother who guides you and gives you tips. He isn't a strict producer. John has been there done that and he pulled out all his experience and energy to make Vicky Donor the most talked about movie of 2012.

"I've donated sperms in real life. So yes, I've auditioned as a sperm donor"

I am India's most wanted Sperm Donor (laughs). I won MTV Roadies season 2 in 2004. But while I was in it, there was a task given to us. It was sperm donation in Allahabad and I donated sperms back then in real life. Honestly, I've auditioned in real life (laughs). The movie is youth centric and funny. My director Shoojit Sircar wanted a Punjabi guy who could connect well with the television audiences too. That's how I became a sperm donor on the big screen. It's a good change for a newcomer like me and I always believe that such films are performance oriented.

"Annu Kapoor is acting since three decades. I am not even thirty years old"

Annu Kapoor is a seasoned actor and one of our industry's finest. He is an ex NSD guy. He is in acting for the past thirty years and I am not even thirty years old (laughs). You can understand how explosive his talent is. He believes in working really hard and made me rehearse scenes. I never believed in rehearsing a scene because I've never acted. Annu Kapoor is instrumental in making me a better actor today.

"Lucky for me, I haven't met a kid on the road who comes running to me saying - Hey Daddy, good luck with your movie"
My wife is pretty kicked about Vicky Donor. We are a very progressive husband and wife. She is an author and a lecturer. She is really proud of me for choosing a movie like this to make my debut. I think it's good to be an alpha-male on screen too, and yes, wherever I go I do not carry my small little bottle (laughs). Luckily, I haven't met a kid on the road yet who comes running to me saying - Hey Daddy, good luck with your movie (laughs).
