On the occasion of late actor Irrfan Khan’s 59th birth anniversary, his son and actor Babil Khan shared a deeply personal moment with followers by posting two throwback photographs accompanied by a heartfelt note on social media.
The first image appears to be from Babil’s childhood and captures an intimate, tender moment, with a young Babil resting on Irrfan Khan. The second photograph is from the sets of Angrezi Medium, Irrfan’s final film, where Babil had worked as a camera assistant. The image serves as a reminder of not just a father-son bond, but also their shared space within cinema.

It is worth noting that in May last year, Babil found himself at the centre of a controversy after a video of him crying inconsolably went viral. In the clip, shared on May 4, 2025, he referred to Bollywood as the “fakest industry,” which triggered widespread concern and speculation around his mental well-being. Babil briefly deactivated his Instagram account before returning to clarify that his remarks had been “extremely misinterpreted” and were meant to express admiration rather than criticism.
Since then, Babil has maintained a quieter presence online and has not announced any new projects. He made his acting debut with Netflix’s Qala, followed by Logout on ZEE5. He was also expected to star in filmmaker Sai Rajesh’s next project, though the film did not materialise due to unforeseen reasons.
