Wamiqa Gabbi, known for her roles in Jubilee, Charlie Chopra & Mystery of Solang Valley, and Modern Love Chennai, earns high accolades from director Imtiaz Ali. Starting her career with Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met in 2007, Wamiqa recently received glowing praise from the director during an interview with Mukesh Chabbra. Ali affectionately refers to her as "Choti Waali," highlighting her exceptional dialogue delivery and versatility.

Director Imtiaz Ali recalls, "She is very talented, she was too young during Jab We Met...I used to call her Choti Waali as she said dialogues so gracefully and beautifully whatever was given to her she used to do very nicely, so I used to always get her to do any director’s improvisation as she did it very well, in fact till date, I call her Choti Waali.”

Speaking of the professional front, Wamiqa was last seen in Khufia, a Netflix original film. Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, it also stars Tabu and Ali Fazal. The 30-year-old actress has a couple of projects in her kitty including Baby John. For the unversed, Baby John, a Varun Dhawan starrer, is helmed by Kalees and jointly produced by Murad Khetani and Atlee. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Imtiaz is currently awaiting the release of Amar Singh Chamkila, starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra. It will be directly released on Netflix on April 12.
