IIFA 2023: Farah Khan doesn’t like being compared with Karan Johar as hosts; says, “It’s not necessary” 2023 : Bollywood News

Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan will host IIFA Rocks, the musical and fashion night along with her friend and filmmaker Karan Johar. The International Indian Film Academy Awards will be held in Abu Dhabi. Ahead of the event, Farah Khan shared her thoughts on the same while speaking about the comparison between her and Karan Johar as hosts.

During her chat with the Free Press Journal, Farah Khan Kunder was asked who, according to her, is a better host. In her response, she asserted, “I don't think a comparison is necessary here. Karan is a dear friend and a fantastic host. He lights up the stage every time he steps on it. We're both good at what we do, and doing it together makes it even better.”

The Happy New Year director was also asked how excited she is to be at Yas Island and host the event. In her reply, Farah said, “I'm overjoyed! Yas Island is one of my favourite places to visit in Abu Dhabi. IIFA 2022 was a huge success. The audience is incredible over there, and I am personally very excited to host the 23rd edition of IIFA Rocks at Yas Island. It provides you with the largest audience, and I am excited to engage and entertain them in a new role.”

During the conversation, the portal also asked the Om Shanti Om director to share if she enjoys hosting. Keeping it simple, she elaborated, “I like entertaining just as much as I like doing other things. It's fun to interact with the audience and everyone nearby with such positive vibes, and I'm sure it will be even more enjoyable with an amazing co-host like Karan Johar beside me.”

Coming back to the event, it will be held at the Etihad Arena on February 10. Besides Johar and Khan, celebs such as rapper Badshah, singer and music director Amit Trivedi, singer Sunidhi Chauhan and EDM producer Nucleya, among others, will also perform to entertain the audience.
