Kunal takes offence to Nawab Pataudi being called ‘Saif’s father’.
Says Kunal, “There was much more to M.A.K Pataudi than Saif. He was a truly cultured and learned man. Very well read. He has passed on his love for books to his children. Saif and Soha can’t do without their books. During all the times that I met Pataudi Saab, I can’t recall discussing cinema with him. I’m a major cricket buff and I was a big fan of his cricket. In spite of his eye injury and loss of one eye, he faced some of the fastest bowlers in the world. What I will remember him by the most is his bravery. To play cricket with one eye was a medical miracle. I regard him as one of the greatest cricketers in the world. He was also a very elegant dignified and erudite man. All I can say is, they don’t make men like him any more.”
Kunal Kohli was to leave for the town of Pataudi for the cricketing legend’s funeral on Friday morning.
