Hungama Play’s latest original show, ‘Boys with Toys’ is the perfect comedy to enjoy with your friends this summer

Hungama Play has released four original shows so far – Damaged, Hankaar, Bar Code and Padded ki Pushup and with each they have explored a different genre and given us entertaining stories. Their latest show, Boys with Toys is no different. A comedy targeted at youngsters, it is the perfect show to watch with friends in the ongoing summer vacations!

The show introduces us to Adi (Umang Khanna) and Jiggy (Rishab Chadha), two 20-something year olds who are stuck in mundane jobs and want some excitement in the lives. Their fortunes are about to turn, or so they think, when Jiggy’s uncle leaves behind a substantial inheritance, which they expect to be Rs. 1 crore. However, the inheritance arrives in kind, in the form of sex toys. Adi and Jiggy now need to figure out the utility of each sex toy and sell them to earn cash. Their attempt at understanding the function of each toy and running a sex toy delivery service leads to misadventures and makes the show a wild and fun ride. The story also features Mehek (Anisa Butt) – Adi and Jiggy’s neighbour and an aspiring actress, and Varun (Abhishek Bajaj) – their landlord. Both often find themselves in the middle of comic situations due to the boys’ antics.

The story is a balance between relatability and escapism, peppered with an ample dose of humour. Two youngsters in dead end jobs dreaming of having an adventure is a visual that most of us are familiar with. Throw in the angle of them trying to figure out what to do with the sex toys and having mishaps along the way and we have the escape that we all need from reality!

The show is created with a simple mantra – to make it a fun watch for everyone and the makers have succeeded in doing so. The situations are hilarious and the jokes are hysterical. The unpredictability of the story keeps the viewers hooked without allowing any dull moment to creep in. The interactions between the different characters – Adi, Jiggy, Mehek and Varun are funny and add to the comic frenzy that is this show.

The show stars Rishab Chadha (Drishyam, Lupt), Umang Khanna, Anisa Butt (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Half Girlfriend) along with Abhishek Bajaj (Student of the Year 2) and all of them work cohesively to enhance the comic flavour. The actors seem to be having fun on screen and that result in the audience having fun while watching it too. Their effortless performances are a treat and make the show even more enjoyable.

Boys with Toys gives the audience uninhibited entertainment that makes it the perfect show to beat the heat! A must watch with your friends.
