EXCLUSIVE: Huma Qureshi talks about her next project Double XL with Sonakshi Sinha; says, “I am very proud of that film” : Bollywood News

Once again, actor Huma Qureshi has grabbed the attention of the critics and audience for her portrayal of Rani Bharti in the second season of her series - Maharani. Now, when the second season is receiving love from the viewers, Huma has a few interesting projects lined up for her fans. While talking about the same exclusively with Bollywood Hungama, Qureshi shared that she believes that Double XL, her next film with Sonakshi Sinha, is a kind of film which should have been crafted a long time ago.

While listing the upcoming releases of the Badlapur actor, we asked her to give a brief for each. In response to the same, Huma said, “It's (Double XL) a film that I've made with my friends. It's very close to my heart. A subject i think - Iss par bahut pehle film ban jaani chahiye thi. Par nahi banai hum logo ne, pata nahi kyun (A film should have been made on this long ago. But we did not make it, I do not know why). But I am very proud of that film”.

Then, the 36-year-old actor went on to give a brief about Monica, O My Darling. She asserted, “very different, very delicious dark fun irreverent to the mad world of Vasan Bala, who I adore and we have history because yeah I started my career on a film called Gangs of Wasseypur where he was AD on that. So, it's sort of like we've grown up together. And, I've acted with Vassen in fact in a short film that Shlok, another friend of ours, did. So, it's very sweet to be part of that world.

Apart from the above-mentioned projects, Huma also has a couple of projects in her kitty; Tarla and Pooja Meri Jaan, are name to a few.
