On Saturday, the team of the upcoming film Heropanti 2 had a grand event in Mumbai to launch the song ‘Dafa Kar’. Present at the event were Tiger Shroff, Tara Sutaria, director Ahmed Khan, lyricist Mehboob Kotwal along with music composer of the film – music maestro A R Rahman. After the launch of the song, the team interacted with the media and spoke about the film.
During the media interaction, Tiger Shroff was asked about the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi and The Kashmir Files at the box office after a massive lull at the box office owing to the pandemic. Talking about the success of the two films, Tiger Shroff said, “It's fantastic. It just goes on to show that people are going to theatres and if I were to be greedy, Heropanti 2 is a theatre film. So, I am very very happy that people are coming to watch films in theatres again. It is a great feeling and a great time for our industry. It's sort of like rebirth."

Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali was the first film of the year to cross Rs. 100 crore at the box office. It is also among the very few female-led films that did wonders at the box office. However, it was Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files that took the box office by storm. The film has collected over Rs. 200 crore at the box office. Now, the audiences are also queuing up outside theatres to watch the recently released film RRR.
Meanwhile, Heropanti 2 will be released in theatres on April 29 and will clash with Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan’s Runway 34 at the box office.
