We have seen multiple examples of how real-life relatives acted in a single movie without being shown related to each other: Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan (Bunty Aur Babli), Shammi Kapoor and Neetu Singh (Parvarish) and Feroz Khan and Fardeen Khan (Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena) being some examples of these.

But the next Hindi blockbuster, Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, simply boasts of three such family bonds being broken within a single motion picture!

The first such case is that Tiger Shroff, who plays ACP Satya, a die-hard fan of Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn), is not shown connected to Jackie Shroff, who plays the terrorist Omar Hafeez, a villain went unscathed in the climax of Sooryavanshi. Of course, we keep a window open for a possibility of suspense about Tiger being shown related to his father in the film, but the possibility is very, very bleak!

Another such combination is that of Ranveer Singh and his wife Deepika Padukone. While Ranveer makes a cameo in this Rohit Shetty Cop Universe film as Simmba (after his cameo in Sooryavanshi in the same role), Deepika is the latest and the first actress to enter the universe, playing “area ka in-charge” Shakti Shetty way down in South India.

Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the lead pair of Ki & Ka, are also in the cast as terrorist Danger Lanka and Singham’s wife Avni. In actual fact, Arjun’s grandfather, the late producer Surinder Kapoor, was second cousin to Kareena’s great-grandfather, film and theater icon Prithviraj Kapoor!

So, for Rohit Shetty, this film is as much about breaking family bonds as it is about breaking box-office records!
