The much-awaited title track of Gehraiyaan was released last week and within 5 days of its release the video of the song garnered over 25 million views and why wouldn’t it! The song has been much awaited after the makers dropped a part of it along with the teaser of the film in December last year. The song features all four lead actors- Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, and Dhairya Karwa. The song is an absolute rage on social media and netizens are using the song to express their state of mind and uploading videos and reels on Instagram with their rendition of the song.

Here’s what makes Gehraiyaan title track a must watch

While we know most of us have already deep dived into the world of Gehraiyaan and are listening and humming to the tunes of the song, here's giving some more reason to what makes it an absolute must watch -

1) The visuals accompanying the title track of Gehraiyaan give us a deeper understanding of the characters of the film. From silent stares portraying internal guilt, unrequited love, and internal chaos to changing equations, the song beautifully manages to capture the turmoil and tension in the lives of our protagonists and pulls the audience into the narrative.

2) It is not there for the sake of it. The song takes the narrative forward and is not forced into the story. It is not a song where the protagonists are lip-syncing and walking into their La La Land as we are used to witnessing in Hindi films. Rather, it seems like a song that is being played off from their playlist as we all enjoy listening to music that matches our current state of mind.

3) Ankur Tewari has added magic to the song with his lyrics. Human emotions are complex and it varies from person to person and is extremely difficult to decipher. But Ankur has managed to speak about unrequited love, holding back emotions, letting go, comparing human emotions to the forces of nature, in the two-and-a-half-minute long song.

4) We also get to see that the relationship between Deepika and Siddhant’s characters Alisha and Zain is not just physical but there is more to what meets the eye. Zain’s changing allegiance to his fiancé Tia played by Ananya Panday also clearly stands out in the song. While we see love and longing in Zain’s eyes when he looks at Alisha, he tries to back off from Tia’s advances.
