Here’s what the London mayor Sadiq Khan termed Katrina Kaif

The popular and much loved Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is in Mumbai. To honour him, the city’s best party planner Mukesh Ambani along with Karan Johar and ex-member of Parliament Milind Deora hosted a grand bash and prominent Bollywood celebrities were invited for it. Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Amitabh Bachchan, Sidharth Malhotra, Sridevi, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia etc graced this memorable bash.

However, the one celebrity that really caught Sadiq Khan’s eye was none other than Katrina Kaif. Though she was born in Hong Kong, she lived for many years in London before coming to Mumbai to become a Bollywood actress. In fact, she even has a United Kingdom citizenship till date. Sadiq Khan was aware of Katrina’s London connection and he remarked that it was great to meet the ‘British Bollywood superstar’! He further said that the success of Katrina Kaif in Bollywood is another example of the deep connection shared by Mumbai and London.

Sadiq Khan is on an official tour across Indian cities – Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar – to talk about British’s strengths post Brexit. He’s heavily promoting the ‘London Is Open’ initiative to make it clear that city is open for all people and various opportunities.

On the film front, Katrina Kaif has three upcoming films, each with a Khan. The first one is Tiger Zinda Hai, starring Salman Khan. It is the sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. Then next year on Diwali, she’ll arrive with Thugs Of Hindostan co-starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Her Christmas 2018 release is the untitled film with Shah Rukh Khan, directed by Aanand L Rai. It also stars Anushka Sharma.
