Last year in November, veteran actor Paresh Rawal took to Twitter to confirm Kartik Aaryan's inclusion in the highly anticipated film Hera Pheri 3. However, as fan reactions turned mixed, Rawal recently addressed the situation, clarifying that while both Kartik and Akshay Kumar were initially set to star in the film, Kartik is no longer a part of the project.

During an interview with News18, Paresh Rawal shed light on Kartik Aaryan's role in the movie. Rawal, known for his remarkable acting skills, revealed that Kartik's character was distinctly different from the iconic character Raju, portrayed by Akshay Kumar in the franchise. He emphasized that Kartik's character had its own unique attributes and was developed with a fresh perspective.

Describing Kartik Aaryan's role further, Paresh Rawal elaborated, “Kartik Aaryan had a different role in the film. He was not supposed to play Raju, which was played by Akshay Kumar in the first two films. Kartik's character wasn't cut from the same cloth as Raju and was made with a different fabric. Kartik's role was different and had a different kind of energy than Raju's. The premise of his character was different. One shouldn't be afraid of backlash. And once people watch a film, they forget all the backlashes.”

While discussing the broader context of the Hera Pheri series, Paresh Rawal admitted that the announcement of the sequel led to some overconfidence. He said, “There was a sense of over-confidence and that shouldn't have happened. Suniel Shetty Anna was earnest and honest and carried the legacy of Shyam in an amazing way. Characters and premises like Hera Pheri come our way very rarely.”

Meanwhile, Paresh Rawal will be soon seen in Dream Girl 2, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor. It stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, while Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Seema Pahwa, Vijay Raaz, Manjot Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Ranjan Raj, Manoj Joshi, and Annu Kapoor appear in prominent roles. The film is arriving in cinemas on August 25, 2023.
