Guneet Monga-Sunny Kapoor’s pre-wedding festivities start with sangeet; Sanya Malhotra performs on ‘Sheila Ki Jawaani’ : Bollywood News

Guneet Monga and Sunny Kapoor hosted their sangeet and mehndi night at Guneet’s Mumbai residence last night. The festivities began last night with an intimate affair of sangeet with close friends and family. Amongst the highlights was Sanya Malhotra’s energetic impromptu dance on 'Sheila Ki Jawaani'. Their wedding is set to take place tomorrow in a Sikh Anand Karaj ceremony.

Apart from Sanya Malhotra dancing to the Katrina Kaif starrer dance number with the couple, the beautiful musical ode by Sona Mohapatra also amped up the energy of the ceremony. She sang the songs, 'Resham Ka Kurta' and 'Nit Khair Manga'. Amongst other attendees were Sheeba Chaddha, director Ben Rekhi and Vasan Bala.

For the unversed, Guneet announced her wedding with long-time beau Sunny Kapoor a couple of weeks back. Guneet said, “Having once staged a whole wedding for Dadi ji we are now set to tie the knot in real life. Though I was born and brought-up in Delhi, my whole life is now in Mumbai - my ‘Karma Bhoomi’. I have found friends like family here. All the ceremonies will be in Mumbai with a reception in Delhi.”

Adding further, she said, “Ever since I was 18, I wanted to get married and finally met Sunny last year on a dating app!” She further adds, ‘I am so grateful to have found a family that is so loving and giving. Since I lost both my parents at the age of 23, I have dreamt of having a big family and I am so excited for that dream to come true. Can’t wait to end the year with a big bang.”
