Farah Khan, who has bonded with Ed Sheeran whenever he visited India, recalled an experience from one of the parties she hosted for the international pop artist. The choreographer-turned-filmmaker was one of the guests along with Bollywood star Anil Kapoor at The Great Indian Kapil Show hosted by Kapil Sharma, wherein she opened up about this incident where she even ended up abusing the DJ for playing Ed’s songs at her party for him, albeit unknowingly.

Known for her witty sense of humor, Farah Khan seems to have brought a lot of entertainment on The Great Indian Kapil Show. While Kapil Sharma went on to speak about how Farah Khan doesn’t recognize her own guests at her party and said, “Farah is such a great host that sometimes, she invites guests and then fails to recognise them. Once, Ed Sheeran had visited her. She didn’t recognize him,” Farah recalled an incident involving Ed.

She responded to Kapil’s statement and revealed the incident, “No, I recognised him, that’s not true. When Ed Sheeran had come, we all got a little drunk. The DJ was playing something. In my inebriated state, I went up to the DJ and abused him a little. I asked him, ‘Kya maiyyat ke gaane baja raha hai (Why are you playing funeral songs?)’. To which, the DJ replied, ‘Ma’am, I am playing Ed Sheeran songs.’ I said, ‘Ok then, carry on,'”. Her candid confession left everyone on the show including Archana Puran Singh in splits!

For the unversed, Farah Khan has hosted two parties for Ed which includes one in 2017 and the other was in 2024, when he came to India. In fact, she also attended a get-together at Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra home Mannat where the latter too had hosted a party in honor of the international pop artist.

On the other hand, coming to The Great Indian Kapil Show, it airs on Netflix and is expected to wrap up its first season soon. Interestingly, in the earlier episode, Kapil and his team which also comprises of names like Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Sunil Grover, also hosted Ed Sheeran who was a part of the show as the guest.
