After Boong became the first Indian film to win at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards in 2026, Google introduced a special interactive feature to mark the occasion.

The search engine has rolled out a celebratory animation that appears when users look up key names associated with the film, including Lakshmipriya Devi and Ritesh Sidhwani. The feature includes a small trophy icon on the results page. When clicked, the icon transforms into a floral graphic referencing the BAFTA win. Repeated clicks trigger a confetti-style animation with bouquets appearing across the screen.
Google has previously introduced similar interactive search features to acknowledge significant cultural and sporting milestones. These additions are typically designed to offer users a brief visual tribute tied to notable achievements.

Boong’s BAFTA recognition has drawn attention within the industry, with many viewing it as an important moment for Indian cinema on the global stage. The film’s win places it among international titles honoured by the British Academy this year.
Produced by Excel Entertainment, Chalkboard Entertainment and Suitable Pictures, Boong had its earlier premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before continuing its festival run.
The Google feature adds a digital layer to the celebrations surrounding the film’s BAFTA 2026 win, allowing users to engage with the milestone through a simple search.
