The latest Bollywood film to release is Ghoomer, a cricket drama starring Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher. The film has been directed by R. Balki and has received rave reviews from critics. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has seen the film, has called it "a brilliant film" and said that it is "a career-best" for both Abhishek and Saiyami.

He has also praised the performances of Shabana Azmi, Angad Bedi, and Ivan Rodrigues. “So well written and directed and performed. Meanwhile, he also lauded the three previously released films for their performances and box office success in the same post. For the unversed, the first was Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which was directed by Karan Johar. The film was a romantic comedy that won the hearts of the viewers for representing quintessential Bollywood.

He also praised the box office performances of Gadar and OMG 2, which clashed at the ticket window on August 11. Gadar 2 is a sequel to the 2001 film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, while OMG 2 is a social-drama about sex education. Both films were successful at the box office, with Gadar 2 breaking records.
