After winning hearts for his small yet impactful roles in Uri: The Surgical Strike and 83 alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ranveer Singh respectively, talented actor Dhairya Karwa has managed to bag a lead role in Dharma Productions’ Gehraiyaan helmed by Shakun Batra. We hear that multiple actors went through the audition process, but Dhairya made it to the final cast as Shakun felt he was apt for this role. The actor has been receiving immense appreciation and love for his role.

Earlier at the trailer launch event, filmmaker Karan Johar revealed that Dhairya, who is 6’4” lied that he is 6’2” as he didn't want to lose the part for being too tall and genuinely wanted to be a part of this dream project for him.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama recently, Dhairya Karwa said, "It's been a very joyful and satisfying experience, an experience that I could just go through it again, if I had to, had the opportunity to just relive it because that's how much I've enjoyed it. And that's how much I enjoyed the company or such lovely people that you see on screen. They've made me feel a part of it from day one. They've been super nice to me, super kind to me. It's because of them and the environment that they created that I was able to thrive or at least like to believe that I thrived. My director, my co-actors, can highlight more on that tomorrow night. But so it's been a great experience."

"It's the first time I'm playing the lead part, against a prominent personality and against a well-known director, a big production house, the whole setup was big. There are some expectations of you. So for you to perform in that environment, the environment has to be very supportive. The people around me, everyone was very supportive of me. Yes, I've worked hard for it and I've been rewarded. I am not shying away from that I've worked for it. And yes, that's why I'm here. Probably. That's amazing."

Alongside Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi, the film also features Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa as leads along with Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles. Jointly produced by Viacom18 Studios and Dharma Productions in association with director Shakun Batra’s Jouska Films, the movie will have its World Premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022.
