Friends reunion is officially happening. After much delay amid the pandemic, HBO Max announced the much-awaited reunion special will premiere on the streaming giant on May 27. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schimmer reunited recently to film the special. The first trailer is here and it hits you right in the feels.
The cast re-lives the iconic Friends episode of the quiz competition that led to the apartment swapping, they are back on the Warner Bros set where the show was filmed for 10 years, re-enact the scenes from the episode when everyone found out about Monica and Chandler. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schimmer share laughs, memories, tears in the trailer. You see guests including Thomas Lennon, Tom Selleck, and Maggie Wheeler make an appearance apart from many guests. James Corden asks the most important question - Were Ross and Rachel on a break?
HBO Max announced a bunch of guest stars who will be participating in the special. Friends: The Reunion will have appearances from Christina Pickles, James Michael Tyler, Reese Witherspoon, Malala Yousafzai, South Korean juggernaut BTS, Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, and Mindy Kaling.
Directed by Ben Winston and executive produced by Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane, Friends: The Reunion was filmed at the original soundstage, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank.
