Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, promises a fusion of heart-racing action sequences and a patriotic undertone. With simply two days remaining for the release of Siddharth Anand’s new film post last year’s Pathaan, the makers unveiled the behind-the-scenes of the first song ‘Sher Khul Gaye’ on January 22.

“‘Sher Khul Gaye’ is just where you have a sense of victory and you celebrate. It's a dance song and Hrithik & Deepika – they are just eye candy,” said Siddharth Anand in the video while talking about his leads who own the screen.

Deepika added, “You see the whole team together; you see us as a unit. It’s a celebration.”

Bosco Martis said, “The whole vibe was just (to) create this whole fun element because there's a lot of tension that is going on.” While talking about Hrithik later, he added, “Any move you give him, he glorifies it, owns it and makes it look sensational.”

Karan Singh Grover, who was struggling to get some of the moves right, was getting a lot of support from the entire team as he chanted his name before a group shot. Though he quipped in the video, “How much of the dancer they are because Hrithik is there then why are we dancing?”

“The cast was just phenomenal. We all just really supported each other. Everyone wanted everyone to succeed,” continued Akshay Oberoi.

“‘Sher Khul Gaye’ is something which we shot towards the end of the film. The team developed this bond through that journey. So there's a sense of homecoming yet closure. So, it is a mix of emotions and we all had a blast,” concluded Siddharth Anand.

Fighter will be available in theatres in 3D and 3D IMAX formats and is scheduled to hit theatres on the eve of India’s 75th Republic Day, January 25th, 2024.
