Farhan Akhtar has spoken about the responsibility of portraying legendary musician Pandit Ravi Shankar on screen, describing the role as one that requires careful preparation and authenticity. Known for balancing multiple creative roles as an actor, filmmaker, writer, singer and producer, Farhan recently opened up about the demands of taking on the part of one of India’s most celebrated cultural icons.
Speaking about the project in a recent interview, Farhan acknowledged the weight of representing the late sitar maestro’s life and legacy. He said, “It is very important that I get this absolutely right. Playing Pandit Ravi Shankar is a huge responsibility, towards him, his family and his devotees. I want to do everything in my power to ensure it comes out right.”
