Farah Khan is following Manmohan Desai formula for Tees Maar Khan

Decades ago, Manmohan Desai is said to have quoted that for a commercial masala flick to work, there should be at least one highlight on screen every 10 minutes. Given the fact that movies in that era were 3 hours long, it comes to around 20 highlight sequences in the entire run of the film. Circa 2010 and Farah Khan is pretty much following the same adage with Tees Maar Khan which releases this Christmas.

No wonder, Farah doesn't mind getting more 'highlight sequences' in the film that fetch headlines before the theatrical release itself.

"What could be the other way to describe the coming in of Anil Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna in Tees Maar Khan", questions an observer, "The very fact that Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are sharing the stage again after years was enough for media and audience to go into frenzy. The sequence may last just for a minute but the fact that we are talking about it makes it highlight worthy."

"Also, the pulling in of Anil Kapoor for an award ceremony sequence was a master stroke", he continues, "Audience still relate to him as the Slumdog Millionaire star and since he doesn't mind taking a dig at himself, his appearance in the sequence doesn't appear misplaced at all."

Other than Anil Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna, now Farah has also roped in Sanjay Dutt to do a special voiceover for Tees Maar Khan. And the master stroke comes in the form of Salman Khan's entry into the film's narrative with the special song 'Wallah Wallah'.

Continues the observer, "This is pretty much a fact that the on-off real life 'jodi' of Salman-Katrina is anyways expected to make headlines, more so when they appear on the big screen. Given her penchant for making item sequences larger than life, as was evidenced in her '31 stars on a single set' song 'Deewangee' [Om Shanti Om], Farah is said to have outclassed her own earlier effort and woven magic once again with this qawalli. To add to all the fun, Farah is now also ready with the promotional music video of Tees Maar Khan which features the trio of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Akshaye Khanna.

Promises Farah, "The song's shoot is through and you can't imagine the kind of madness which was prevalent over there. While with Salman, Akshay and Katrina, the qawalli had gone into a different league altogether, the promotional music video with Akshay, Katrina and Akshaye has turned out to be really funny as well."

This doesn't quite sound like a tall claim because Farah said this earlier for 'Tumse Milke Dil Ka Hai Jo Haal' [Main Hoon Naa] as well and the results were there for all to see. Now that she is getting into a 'dhamaal' zone with yet another item sequence as Katrina Kaif gets into the garb of Paakeezah, she can be trusted to deliver the goods.

Meanwhile, Farah is not just resting yet. "I can't believe that just a couple of more months remain for the film to hit the screens. I am now neck deep in getting the theatrical promo right", she says.
