Vishal Vashishtha is back with Pati Patni Aur Woh Do after his impressive act in the Netflix series Glory. This time around, he is in a space that is chaotic yet fun. The actor, who has been steadily building a strong body of work, brings his talent to the film with a character that doesn’t fully understand the storm unfolding around him.
Opening up about his role, Vishal explained that the core of his character lies in this very disconnect. “Basically, everything is happening for my character and his partner. But he doesn't realise that. He doesn't know about that. He sees whatever is happening right in front of his eyes at face value, and he decides that he's going to do something about it, which is completely in contradiction to what they're trying to achieve. So, it's funny to go out there and try to change the course of the story.”
What stands out is how his character reacts without fully grasping the reality, often making things more complicated instead of resolving them.
The film also brings together a wide mix of talent, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rakul Preet Singh. For Vishal, being a part of such a line-up was an experience he clearly values. Sharing his time on set, he said, “It was a wonderful experience. It feels great to be a part of such a diverse cast. To be in the same project and to work as a team to make such an amazing film. I had most of my scenes with Ayushmann Khurrana and Tigmanshu Dhulia. They were amazing, and the scenes came out great. We had a great time shooting them. If nothing, you get to speak to these amazing people, and you feel like you've achieved something.”
Instead of following a predictable path, Vishal seems more interested in picking roles that allow him to experiment, even if it means stepping into messy, complicated situations on screen.
