The second season of Bindiya Ke Bahubali has struck a strong chord with audiences, especially across Instagram and digital platforms, where dialogues, scenes, and characters from the show continue to trend. Writer-director Raj Amit Kumar, who created the series, says the scale of the response has exceeded expectations, much like the first season did upon its release.

Reacting to the overwhelming love for Season 2, Raj Amit Kumar admits the reception has been both gratifying and surprising. “Who does not feel good about love? We were not expecting that huge numbers for Season 1 and it seems Season 2 is on its way to become even a bigger hit!” he says, adding that the organic audience connection has been particularly encouraging.
One of the biggest indicators of the show’s cultural impact has been how its characters have seeped into public memory. With dialogues being quoted and scenes recreated online, Raj recalls a moment that made the show’s popularity tangible. “Many other actors have told me that they have been greeted on the street by their character names, like Sushant who plays Murli Manjhi. I guess that’s good. It tells people are carrying the characters with them,” he shares.
Despite the strong buzz, the future of the series is still awaiting official confirmation. Addressing the growing anticipation for a third season, Raj strikes a candid and humorous note. “We still have to be green-lit for Season 3. Tell Audiences to start bombarding the Amazon office!” he says. However, if the next season does move forward, he hints that viewers can expect the unexpected. “Like I said, it has to be green-lit yet, but I assure audiences will get to see shifts in power dynamics in Season 3 that they may not be able to imagine. Bindiya is a story here to disrupt how we have been watching this genre.”
Set in the fictional town of Bindiya, Bindiya Ke Bahubali explores the chaos that follows the arrest of mafia don Bada Davan, played by Saurabh Shukla, during an election campaign, and the ensuing power struggle led by his son, Chhote Davan, portrayed by Ranvir Shorey. The series also stars Seema Biswas and Sheeba Chaddha and streams on Amazon MX Player.
As for how he is personally dealing with the success, Raj keeps it simple. “I always like to work and play at the same time,” he says—suggesting that even as audiences celebrate Bindiya Ke Bahubali, he is already balancing the moment with what may come next.
