Recalling their interaction on set, Soundous shared how her Hindi performance surprised the veteran actor. “When he heard me deliver my lines in Hindi, he reacted with genuine surprise and said, ‘You have an accent.’ I smiled and replied, ‘Yes sir, I don’t belong from here.’”
What followed left a lasting impression on the actress. “He was completely taken aback because he had assumed I was from India. That was incredibly sweet.” Soundous revealed that Shah went on to praise her work and line delivery—recognition she describes as deeply meaningful. “He told me how impressed he was with my performance and the way I delivered my lines. I knew I had to be undeniable.” Sharing screen space with one of India’s most respected actors, Soundous Moufakir’s performance stood as a testament to talent beyond borders. “For that moment, he didn’t see me as an outsider. He saw me as an actor. That’s something I’ll always carry with me.”
