EXCLUSIVE: Sarika speaks about Amitabh Bachchan; says, “Feel so inspired looking at him” : Bollywood News

The Sooraj Barjatya directorial Uunchai has arrived in the theatres. Though the film got a limited release, it is performing decently at the box office. among many others, actress Sarika also plays a significant character in the film. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actress spoke about the film, her experience and much more.

How do you summarize your experience of working in Uunchai?
I could summarise it as a very wholesome experience personally and professionally as an actor. As an actor who has Sooraj ji as your director and to have co-stars, who are with me in film, was a very satisfying experience. Besides being satisfied, you know everybody was so talented and all of us were there supporting each other, so it was a very good experience. I think Sooraj ji is somebody you really need to meet and experience to know what a wonderful person he is, so for me, it has been a very wholesome experience.

Tell us three qualities of Uunchai, which make it a film for all age groups?
I think the first is that friendship is not age-bound, friendship starts when you first met your friend in school or it can happen at any change and continue to happen at any age, all ages experience friendship. The second theme according to me is the journey that each character takes and I think for the youth to see that would be very interesting because we are giving them a preview of what all they can expect in the journey through life so that is very good and third is it's a film which has a lot of goodness, you feel good watching it and that experience ever age group should have.

As you reunited with Amitabh Bachchan, what did he bring to the table along with his acting prowess?
I think what he brings to the table as an actor, the impact of that on me as always been respect and admiration with each passing project that we do. That respect and admiration keep growing because the love for his craft is so deep and passionate and you feel so inspired looking at him and the way he works

If Uunchai was made with an all-female cast, who, according to you, would have played Amitabh Bachcha, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, and Danny Denzongpa?
Jaya Bachchan can play Amitabh Bachchan’s role, then I think we should have somebody like Sheeba and we should have Seema Biswas and hum teen toh hai hi.
