In an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, actress Saloni Batra who is currently riding high on the success of Animal, shared her experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor in the film. The actress, who plays the role of Ranbir Kapoor's sister in the movie, opened up about her overwhelming first day on set and the invaluable support she received from the Bollywood superstar.

Recalling her initial moments on set, Saloni Batra expressed her disbelief at being cast alongside Ranbir Kapoor and playing his sister in a pivotal role. The actress said, “The first day was very overwhelming because I was not able to believe that I am sitting right besides Ranbir Kapoor in a car playing his sister and I am about to start acting with him which is something I love. I was in disbelief. I had to pinch myself to tell myself, ‘Oh my god, you are here.’ Then I had remind myself that he is playing my brother so you have to act now, come on. He is a superstar but you can calm down.”

She further added, “He was kind enough to give me that warmth and vibes like it really felt like family, like home. He was into the process all the time. He used to rehearse with us a lot of times. He was always present during the intense scenes.”

Sharing a specific incident during the shooting of a fight sequence, Saloni Batra shared, “1-2 times I had an issue as I was not understanding how to move ahead. He just gave me a couple of suggestions specially in that fight sequence we have when I am calling the father after I have been eve teased. So I was getting stuck and I was not able to get the flow in the scene. So he came to me and said, ‘Don’t act like you know I am going to do this later.’ And I was like, ‘Oh yeah that makes sense.’ I just got on to that and scene just took flow and I was really really grateful in that moment that ‘Thank god he helped me,’ because his experience also matters.”

Acknowledging Ranbir Kapoor's dedication, Saloni Batra mentioned, “He has rehearsed with us 30-40 times at a stretch, he would just go on and on till lines would just become a part of our body and then we would be ready to act.”

Produced by T-Series, Animal also stars Triptii Dimri, Siddhant Karnick, Saloni Batra, among others and released on December 1 in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu. Following the unveiling of post-credit scene, Sandeep Reddy Vanga also hints at making a sequel called Animal Park, which is also expected to feature Ranbir Kapoor.
