Ronit Bose Roy is one such exceptional talent, known for his versatility and ability to bring characters to life with finesse. Among his remarkable portrayals, his role as the brilliant defence attorney K.D. Pathak in the popular TV show Adaalat has garnered widespread acclaim and adoration from audiences across the nation. Recently, in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor reflected on the show and shared his thoughts on reprising the character for the third season of Adaalat.
EXCLUSIVE: Ronit Roy speaks on turning Adaalat into “OTT entity”; shares possibility of reprising KD Pathak for season 3When asked if there is any possibility of him returning as K.D Pathak with the third season of Adaalat, he asserted, “yeah.” Speaking of the process further, Roy added, “Long back, I had a word with Sony. But reviving the show is not in my hands. I spoke to Abhimanyu Singh (the creator of Adaalat) also. I think the time is right because Sony has its own OTT channel also. I think the time is right to turn KD Pathak into an OTT entity. I think it will do very, very well.”
For the unversed, Adaalat marked its debut on TV back in November 2010 on Sony Entertainment Television. For a remarkable span of five years, the series enthralled audiences until its final episode in July 2015. Later, almost a year after the first season concluded, the show returned with a second season. However, the season of Adaalat was shorter than its first instalment.
Coming to the professional front, Ronit was last seen in Shehzada, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon. He will be next seen in Bloody Daddy. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the upcoming action-thriller is headlined by Shahid Kapoor. It will start streaming on JioCinema from June 9 onwards.
