Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza turned their longtime friendship into marriage way back in 2012 and since then have been one of the most beloved couples in B-town. The two of them haven’t been together on screen for a while but fans get to see their brilliant off screen chemistry through their reels which have made them renowned social media stars. Speaking about it exclusively to Bollywood Hungama, Riteish and Genelia also revealed how they have managed to maintain this chemistry even after completing a decade of their marriage.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza recently walked the green carpet of IIFA Awards 2022 hand-in-hand. Needless to say, they stopped by to greet their media friends and in an exclusive meet with Bollywood Hungama, they spoke about the recent trend that they have as a couple on Instagram. Their reels are appreciated by one and when asked the couple about their process of choosing reels, Ritiesh said, “Hum kabhi plan nahi karte hai reels. Humlog subah utte aur koi reels pasand aagayi toh sochte hain karein kya, phir try kar lete hain.” (Transl: We never plan any reels. In the morning, after we wake up, if we like some reels, we decide to check it out and then we try it. That’s all)

He further went on to speak about the fact that the sense of humor and the fun they have while making these reels is because of their friendship. Riteish added, “jab pati patni ke beech humesha dosti hona bahut zaruri hai… agar woh hai toh sab chalta hai.” (Transl: It’s very necessary for a husband and wife to be friends. In that case, everything is okay).

On the other hand, Riteish Deshmukh also spoke about hosting for IIFA Awards 2022. Speaking about his previous co-host Boman Irani, Riteish added that he is really missing him and goes on to say that he was the best IIFA host. For the uninitiated, Riteish hosted IIFA Awards 2022 with Salman Khan and Maniesh Paul.
