EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer Singh reveals the common factor between Jayeshbhai Jordaar’s song ‘Firecracker’ and Gunday’s song ‘Tune Maari Entriyaan’ : Bollywood News

Ranveer Singh is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The film directed by Divyang Thakkar also stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak. The film promises to present Ranveer in a never seen avatar as he sets out to save his unborn girl child from the regressive mindset of the society.

Ahead of the release of the film, the makers had launched the song titled ‘Firecracker’ and true to its title, the song is an absolute firecracker. Talking about the song in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Ranveer said, “The song 'Firecracker' is a father singing it for his daughter. It is one song that I heard and I was like ‘Yaar ye toh mazedaar hai’. There have been very few such instances in my life. I remember listening to ‘Tune Maari Entriyaan’. When I heard the song for the first time, ‘Tang Tang Tang O Shona’ as soon as it began I felt that this song is powerful. Even with his song ('Firecracker'), when I heard for the first time when the first strings hit (makes a joyous expression). Vishal-Shekhar is killing it.”

Earlier, while talking about the song, Ranveer had said, “'Firecracker' is a vibe. Maneesh was very clear. Divyang was very clear that, look, you've performed the entire character now; you've gone through the entire graph, the journey of the character. Now the character's yours, you've made it your own so we won't choreograph it! You just freestyle, in character, as Jayesh would.”

A hilarious satire on society - Jayeshbhai Jordaar, produced by Maneesh Sharma, also stars Arjun Reddy fame Shalini Pandey, who debuts on Bollywood’s big screen opposite Ranveer. The film has been directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and is releasing worldwide on May 13, 2022.
