Ranveer Singh is much loved among the audiences for his commendable performances in different avatars. This time, fans are equally anticipating the deadly combo of Ranveer and Rohit Shetty on the big screens with Cirkus where the beloved actor will be seen in a dual role in this Rohit Shetty directorial.

Ahead of the release of the upcoming comedy film, Ranveer recalled the challenging times when COVID-19 pandemic was in its peak amid stringent COVID protocols were to be followed. “COVID protocol toh bohot bhaari tha yaar. [COVID protocols were very intense],” Ranveer recalled in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama.

He continued, “Like [Rohit Shetty] was one of the first people to get a film back on the floors after COVID-19 and all credits to him to have the fortitude to be like ‘No man. Sure, it’ll cost a few more crores but we got to get back to work and do what we are here to do.’ And realizing that so many people’s livelihoods depend on this.”

“So, to be that guy... that guy that we all know he is, he took that initiative,” Ranveer added praising the efforts of his Cirkus director. “We had strict protocols but once we were on the set, we’d have this walkway and there were all these steam machines and we would take steam and stuff and it was like hectic protocol. Once you are in set, it was just a mad house.”

Speaking of Cirkus, the film stars Ranveer Singh alongside Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the comedy-drama also includes Varun Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra and Vrajesh Hirjee in pivotal roles.

Cirkus arrives in theatres on December 23.
