EXCLUSIVE: Rakul Preet Singh describes her next release Thank God as a ‘Munnabhai meets Oh My God’’ space : Bollywood News

Rakul Preet Singh, who was last seen on the big screen in John Abraham’s Attack, has recently delivered her second OTT release of 2022, which is Cuttputtli. The crime-thriller started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from September 2 onwards. While sharing her experience of working on Cuttputtli with Bollywood Hungama, Singh candidly spoke about her upcoming theatrical release Thank God, and shared what audiences can expect from it.

When asked if her next project will release on OTT or theater, the De De Pyaar De actor was quick to say that it will be a “theatrical release”. She went on to say, “It's (Thank God) a diwali release which we've announced.” Talking further about the upcoming film, Singh said, “(Indra) Kumar sir has directed the film and I'm really hoping that it will touch people's hearts because he (the director) knows the pulse of the audience.”

Giving a brief of the upcoming Indra Kumar directorial, the actress asserted, “It's comedy and (has) a lot of emotion. I just happened to see the film about two weeks back and I walked out with the feeling that we really wanted the audience to go through (it).” Then she added, “it touches your heart, and it's like a Munnabhai-(MBBS)-meets-Oh-My-God space; not that it's got anything to do with that but that's the space.”

The 31-year-old actor concluded saying, “I think it's entertaining and I think people will hopefully go to the theaters to watch it”. She also mentioned that after Thank God, Doctor G will be released in theaters while Chattriwali will be released on an OTT platform.
