After giving a stellar performance in Vikram Vedha, actress Radhika Apte is all set for the release of her next, titled Monica, O My Darling.

EXCLUSIVE: Radhika Apte answers whether today’s generation has the means to speak up for themselves: “People are scared now”

During an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the acclaimed actress talked about a specific genre, sex comedy, while also elaborating on the advantages of intimacy coordinator and the need of awareness around it. Back in the day, people didn’t have enough resources to speak up for themselves, however, it is not the same for today’s generation.

“Yes, 100%. I mean there’s much more awareness [today],” Radhika said. “People are scared now because everything can be out, not just because of social media but cameras as well. It can be recorded. Having said that I have still heard horror stories on sets, recently actually, from younger generation also. See, this is a demon we all carry, it’s not going to vanish, we have to find a way to spread awareness, to be aware, be more attentive of how we can deal with this.”

Speaking of Monica O My Darling, the film is slated to release on November 11 exclusively on Netflix. The Vasan Bala directorial also features Rajkummar Rao and Huma Qureshi. Radhika will be seen playing the character of a cop.
