Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has a blend of regional and pan-Indian projects. He is currently seen in the Telugu film Salaar starring Prabhas and helmed by Prashanth Neel. In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor offered his perspective on recent blockbusters Jawan, Pathaan and Animal, which were all action-drama-based movies.
Speaking about the said films, Prithviraj Sukumaran said, “The mistake that we would make is to think that the action worked. It’s the drama that worked. Nobody will remember how good the action was, they will remember the motivation behind the action. The drama has to work. So, 2023 has seen a lot of action films become blockbusters but as actors and filmmakers we need to be aware that it’s not the action but it is a good drama that is working.”
On the work front, Prithviraj Sukumaran's professional horizon is adorned with diverse projects. His collaboration with veteran Mohanlal in L2E: Empuraan promises a cinematic spectacle. Additionally, he will delve into the adaptation of the acclaimed Malayalam novel “Aadujeevitham” in The Goat Life, slated for an eagerly anticipated release on April 10, 2024. Adding to the excitement, Prithviraj is reportedly set to join forces with the legendary Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraj for Thalaivar 171. He will also star in the Bollywood film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan alongside Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff.
