EXCLUSIVE: Parineeti Chopra reveals what kept her going despite facing several box office failures : Bollywood News

Amazon Prime Video premiered Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor starrer edgy thriller, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar on 20th May, 2021. Produced, written and directed by Dibakar Banerjee, the movie also stars Neena Gupta, Raghuvir Yadav and Jaideep Ahlawat in pivotal roles.

EXCLUSIVE: Parineeti Chopra reveals what kept her going despite facing several box office failures

During the promotion of the movie Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Parineeti spoke to Bollywood Hungama recently about the film and the struggles she faced when things were not going right for her. When asked how she dealt with struggles and frustration when her films were not working well in the theatres, she said, “You know honestly, that confidence and reassuring feeling came from industry and the media for me. Even though I was giving films that were not doing well or my performances were not lauded, directors, producers, industry never gave up on me. You know, they always said you just have to do the right film, you are talented person. They always gave me that confidence and didn't let me ever feel low and didn't let me ever give up.”

She further said, “For me, somehow, maybe it’s only in my case, every senior director, senior producer never left my side and always said do the right script and it will all come back. Don't worry and now that these three films have come out and things have started turning again. I believe what they were saying was that the script has to be right. So with these three films, the confidence I now believe that they had in me, which even I didn't had in myself at some point because you are only judging film was hit or a flop or that you don’t have it in you. But, when senior and experienced people don’t leave you, then maybe you think you have something in you. So, that’s what kept me going.”

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar follows the story of two completely different individuals whose lives suddenly intertwine. Pinkesh Dahiya or "Pinky" (essayed by Arjun Kapoor), is a Haryanvi Police Officer, while Sandeep Kaur (essayed by Parineeti Chopra) is an ambitious girl from the corporate world. Ironically this pair of chalk and cheese are united by their mistrust, suspicion and hatred for one another. This suspense-drama promises to keep the viewers glued to their seats as it explores the polarities of the two worlds and is packed with great performances by the iconic Ishaqzaade duo who are back together to reignite the silver screen.
