EXCLUSIVE: “It’s not been a perfect journey but it’s been a wonderful journey” – says Bobby Deol on completing 25 years with Barsaat 25 : Bollywood News

Actor Bobby Doel made his debut in the film industry with the 1995 romance drama, Barsaat. Twinkle Khanna starred alongside him. Today, the film completed 25 years. Barsaat was a story about a village boy who falls in love with a rich man's daughter and the challenges that they face in their union.

Speaking EXCLUSIVELY to Bollywood Hungama, Bobby Deol said, “I don’t even understand how 25 years just flew by. It’s been a journey where I have seen ups and downs and now again, I am seeing a great time in my career. In a way, I can say that it’s not been a perfect journey but it’s been a wonderful journey. It has taught me a lot and I am very grateful. I have learnt from my mistakes and I think that’s what everybody has to do – learn from their mistakes. It’s been really nice.”

What matters is not to be in the race but to get up every day and go to work and do work which is challenging and exciting. I am making a conscious effort and trying to look for projects like that. I do hope I get projects like that. It’s just that every day I get up and I know that I am going to work. Now, everyone is sitting at home due to coronavirus. But, during that time, two of my projects were released on OTT and everyone appreciated it a lot.”

Barsaat was produced by Dharmendra and Sunny Deol's home banner Vijayta Films and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. In fact, both Bobby and Twinkle had bagged the Filmfare Best Debut Awards that year.
