Legendary playback singer Kumar Sanu's songs have been recreated in several Bollywood films in recent times. Recreating old songs has become a trend in the Indian music industry, where the original song is given a modern twist and is used in a new movie.

While some people appreciate the effort to introduce old classics to the younger generation, others feel that these recreated songs do not do justice to the original version. Kumar Sanu also expressed his opinion on this trend, stating that while he is happy that songs are being recreated, he feels that the original songs should not be much distorted while recreating.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, when Kumar Sanu was asked to share his thoughts on old song recreation, he said, “I have positive thinking towards recreation. I believe if you are recreating an old song, then don’t distort it. Keep the song straight. You can change the arrangements of the song or the way you treat it.”

He added, “So, my objection comes when the songs are changed or made in pieces. One positive thing that happens due to recreation is that the younger generation gets to know about the old songs. It is because of this recreation; they hum the old songs.”

Some of the popular Kumar Sanu songs that have been recreated in recent times include ‘Aankh Maarey’ from the movie Simmba, ‘Dil Mein Ho Tum’ from the movie Why Cheat India, and ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha’ from the movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga to name a few.

Kumar Sanu started his career as a playback singer in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He rose to fame in the early 1990s with his melodious voice and romantic songs. He has won numerous awards for his work, including several Filmfare Awards and the prestigious Padma Shri award.
