EXCLUSIVE: “In KILL, out of 105 minutes, there’s 95 minutes of action,” reveals Guneet Monga Kapoor 105 : Bollywood News

Producer Guneet Monga Kapoor made India proud last year at the Oscars after her film The Elephant Whisperers brought home the golden trophy. She is now all set to bring a one-of-its-kind action film KILL under her banner Sikhya Entertainment along with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the movie stars debutant Lakshya in the role of the protagonist while Raghav Juyal will be playing the villain.

In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, Guneet Monga revealed more details about KILL. Sharing the reason for backing this film, she said, “I always wanted to do a non-stop action film from the time I started. In the 105-minute film, there is 95 minutes of action. It is relentless. It is one train robbery gone wrong. When Nikhil narrated the story to me, I said, ‘This is great. Let’s do it’. It is so rooted and grounded. It will be insane to do this visually; to hold the audiences for this long. Now, it has a big US distribution.”

Shooting KILL faced a challenge, which the whole world faced. “Our set designer and action co-ordinator came from (South) Korea,” said Guneet Monga. “In between, COVID happened, so that was a challenge. But apart from that, it was a planned shoot. It was a great association between Dharma and Sikhya and two actors, Lakshya and Raghav. So, I am excited to bring it out to the country.”

KILL will be releasing in theatres on July 5.
