"Baby, I got the power / You're so dazzling it blinds me (Hey, yeah) / I'll set your hеart on fire again today / I'm the villain" - say South Korean DRIPPIN in their latest comeback title track 'Villain'. Comprised of Yunseong, Hyeop, Changuk, Dongyun, Minseo, Junho, Alex, their third-mini album Villain arrived on January 17, 2022, showing their alluring transformation more than a year later since their debut in the music circuit.

In many ways, this is the second journey for DRIPPIN members except Korean-German member Alex. Before they were a seven-member group debuting under Woollim Entertainment [INFINITE, GOLDEN CHILD] in 2020 with the mini-album Boyager, six members were revealed during Produce X 101. They've had different paths but it all came down to DRIPPIN becoming one and making their long-awaited debut in October 2020. Since then, there's no looking back for this intriguing who have compelling concepts and are rising stars in every way possible.

With the new album Villain, they are both the heroes and the villains of their stories and the story arc feels like a road to redemption. It's not uncommon to have eras, universes, and more when it comes to K-pop concepts. Going by how DRIPPIN is moving forward, they are grabbing attention for their strong command on stage, vocals, and solid sonic presence.

In the music video, awakening as dark heroes, DRIPPIN shows their irresistible intense charisma and fatal charm through 'Villain'. Both the song and album title 'Villain' compares the passion of moving toward their goal without any hesitation to a ‘villain’. The lyrics of the track address how an urgent and conflicting situation can awaken one’s true abilities and bring them out to the world further amplifying DRIPPIN’s intense concept transformation.

The album also features songs from various genres, including the intro '7Villaz', 'Switch', 'SHY’, 'Delusion', and 'Remember'. The B-side tracks are also expected to show the dark hero concept that 'Villain' has, creating an album with a solid concept.
