Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff was most recently seen in Atithi Bhooto Bhava. During the promotions, the actor spoke at length about his life, stardom, son Tiger and a lot more. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the actor spoke about the changing times and how promotions have changed from the days he was shooting for Hero, his debut film to now in 2022.
EXCLUSIVE: Jackie Shroff misses old ways of promotions when journalists would visit sets: ‘They would spend entire day during shoot’
Speaking about adapting to change and how the world has gotten accustomed to digital, he said, “When we started shooting for Hero, 15 or so journalists would come on set. They would ask questions one by one; in the evenings they would have tea and then they would sit and watch the songs. They would spend an entire day on the set during the shoot. I think those moments have been left behind. That’s how we used to get publicity. I definitely miss that. I miss the contact.”
He also said that the new age promotions make you reach a wider audience. “Any way you can reach out to people is beautiful. The way digital has come, you are reaching people you don’t reach compared to things earlier. Now, even villages have phones and digital connection. How interesting and we’ve adopted that as well,” he said.
Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff will next star alongside Sanjay Dutt, Mithun Chakraborty, and Sunny Deol in the action film, Baap.
