EXCLUSIVE: Gulshan Devaiah talks about changes in his character in Duranga; says, “Abhishek is rendered emotionless, but he will be tested in Season 2” 2 : Bollywood News

Gulshan Devaiah is all set to entertain the audiences yet again with his grey shaded role in Duranga. The series has always garnered a massive fan following and this time, adding to the twist will be Amit Sadh. With this new entry, the show will be experiencing a major twist not just in terms of plotline but also in terms of characterization.

Speaking on his character, Gulshan Devaiah said, “The viewers will get to see a new side to my character and how that character impacts the story in Duranga S2. The story also explores how everybody's lives are going to be affected by that, So, the families and the love story which are under stress will all start to head in a new direction. That's what people will see in season two as the first season ended on a cliffhanger and didn’t provide a closure.

Further adding about how he adapted to the nuances of his character, Gulshan continued, “There is a certain condition that Abhishek/Sammit Patel has which renders his incapable feeling of expressing emotions. However, in season 2, he will be tested profoundly. His mind and body will be challenged by circumstances, and he will experience emotions he has never felt before”.

“The duality that arises from having to pretend to be something one is not, is indeed intriguing. Moreover, the fact that Abhishek has had such a difficult and traumatic life adds further complexities to his character. It's fascinating how Abhishek/Sammit is such a complex character with rare and bizarre complexities that are not often encountered in real life. While such conditions and bizarre circumstances do exist in people's lives, they are not frequently portrayed. As an actor, I am deeply intrigued by how I will interpret such a character in my imagination,” he concluded.
