Prime Video’s dramedy Four More Shot Please! has already blessed us with another season, giving us another peek into the lives of four beautifully and unapologetically flawed women that are: Sayani Gupta’s Damini, Bani J’s Umang, Kirti Kulhari’s Anjana, and Maanvi Gagroo’s Siddhi.
While all of these leading ladies are ruling the show, the one who is ruling our hearts is Damini’s boyfriend Jeh, played by Prateik Babbar. While the Amazon original series is mainly a female-fronted dramedy, Prateik’s character Jeh has been an integral part of the show throughout its run and definitely an important part in Damini’s life.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Prateik talks about how he feels being a part of such a female centric series, working with such gorgeous and talented performers on the show. “Well, it's about time that we have shows where women are leading and the woman characters are leading,” he said. “And it didn't strike me that I was a part of a show that was leading by women.”
“I think the character was so well crafted and each character was so well crafted and I think my character plays such an integral part in the women's story and in the show that I couldn't say no,” he continued. My character was so beautifully written and these women are the powerhouse performers, all of them are gorgeous, talented women.”
Speaking of the experience he had working with the leading ladies, Prateik said, “I think it's been one hell of a ride with these four women and I think it just never it never came across as them being the lead and me you know, being not the lead. I was just happy to be part of such a progressive show and story.” The 35-year-old actor also shared the name of the character he resonates the most with, from the show.
“I think each and every story has moments that, that all of us can resonate to, I think not just myself. Every story and situation with every character, every situation rather and circumstance with every character is so relatable and, and most of us can easily resonate with most of the characters. But I think if I had to choose one, it would be Jeh. I resonate to Jeh’s character, because he's a nice guy, and he never gives up on love, never gives up on his own love for Damini. So, I'm gonna go with Jeh.”
