EXCLUSIVE: Creative producer Mahesh Poojary talks about working on Sidharth Shukla’s LAST song ‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’; says “The day this song is out, people will CRY. Fans will definitely LOVE it”

On September 2, 2021, popular TV actor Sidharth Shukla passed away all of a sudden, leaving the whole world shocked and saddened. He had an enviable fan following, more so after his stint on ‘Bigg Boss 13’ where he was declared a winner. As a result, the various social media websites were flooded with condolence messages.

Sidharth Shukla fans will be pleased to know that he’ll be seen in the song ‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’, which will mark his last video appearance. Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to Mahesh Poojary, who served as the creative producer on this much-awaited track.

He said, “We shot this song in 2019. Vishal Kotian features in the song as Sidharth Shukla’s younger brother, and it also stars Deepika Tripathi, a famous star from Odisha. It’s a lovely, touching song. Shabab Sabri, who has sung in movies like Dabangg 3 (2019), Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015), Singh Is Bliing (2015), Jai Ho (2014) etc, has sung the track.” The song is produced by Suresh Bhanushali and will be out on his music company, Photofit Music Company’s channel.

Sharing more details on this song, Mahesh Poojary stated, “‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’ was shot in November 2019, before he went into the Bigg Boss house. It was filmed in Odisha. I remember when I saw the song during the editing process, I had tears in my eyes. I literally felt that he was in front of me and that he has not gone anywhere.” He also mentioned, “Also, watch out for Sidharth Shukla and Vishal Kotian’s chemistry. Dono sach mein bhai lag rahe hai.”

When asked how it was working with Sidharth Shukla, Mahesh Poojary replied, “He was very sweet and down to earth. He was respectful to everyone on the set. It’s no wonder that he has won millions of hearts.”

When will this much-awaited song be out? To which, Mahesh said, “The song couldn’t be released first due to Covid and later because of Sidharth Shukla’s untimely demise. Now, it’s upto the label when they want to release this song.”

He continued, “I really hope they release the song soon. My latest song, ‘Jogan’, is also backed by the same label. I have saved ‘Jeena Zaroori Hai’ on my mobile. Whenever I feel like or whenever I come across posts on him, I watch the video.” He further said, “The day this song is out, people will cry will crazy. Fans will definitely love it.”

Mahesh Poojary admitted that learning about Sidharth’s death gave him a jolt. He revealed, “When I learnt that he’s no more, I was quite shocked. I couldn’t understand how he could just pass away so suddenly? I remember I had immediately called Vishal Kotian and even he couldn’t believe it.”

Mahesh Poojary, meanwhile, is happy with the response to ‘Jogan’, which was recently released by Photofit Music Company on April 8. He said, “I called Vinit Kakar. I offered him to play Saba Khan’s brother. But I told him that it’s a negative character. He replied, ‘Mahesh, negative toh mere andar rug rug mein bhara hai’!” Prominent TV actor Nishant Malkhani plays the lead in this track. “Mujtaba Aziz Naza, who has sung in Bajirao Mastani (2015), Marjaavaan (2019) and Padmaavat (2018), has lent his voice,” stated Mahesh.

Talking about his beginnings, Mahesh Poojary said, “I started my career as a creative producer in 2010. I worked for Zee TV for 2 years and with Piyush Gupta’s Pixx Entertainment for 5 years on shows like Raktaanchal, Poison, etc. Right now, we both are working on another web show.”

Music videos are also his forte. He has already worked on some tracks and he said, “I am also doing a few more songs with Photofit Music Company, starring TV stars.”
