Grover recently spoke with Bollywood Hungama in an exclusive interview where she shared insights into her background, sources of inspiration, and the subtleties of her work.
Sukriti Grover talked about how she got into styling. She mentioned that “I started liking fashion during her college days. So, I decided to explore more about it and went to Milan for my Masters, When I came back to India, I got the chance to meet a famous stylist named Anaita Shroff Adajania. At first, I worked in the art department of Hollywood projects happening in India at that time. But later, I shifted my focus to styling”. This marked the beginning of her successful journey in the fashion industry.
Further, Sukriti was asked about her experiences working with different celebrities like Amy Jackson, Shilpa Shetty, and Wamiqa Gabbi, who all have their own unique styles. Sukriti explained that in styling, it's crucial to ensure that each actor feels comfortable in their own skin. She highlighted the importance of recognizing that every actor has their own body type and features, making it impossible to style them all the same way. Therefore, she emphasized the need to tailor the styling process to suit each actor's individual personality and body type.
When asked about her extensive collaboration with Kriti Sanon, Sukriti Grover emphasized the evolution of their professional relationship. She mentioned that they share a great rapport and, over time, she has gained a deeper understanding of Kriti's body type and what works best for her. Sukriti also highlighted the challenge of keeping their styling fresh and avoiding repetition. She stressed the importance of constantly exploring new trends and adapting to evolving fashion while maintaining a balance with Kriti's personal style.
